1st October, 2024 Tuesday morning actor and politician Govinda Arun Ahuja famously known by his stage name Govinda or chichi bhaiya hospitalized at Criticare hospital in Mumbai after accidentally he shot himself in his leg with his licenced revolver. According to the report a wound under his knee and admitted to the intensive care unit, the bullet was extracted after an hour-long surgery. Dr. Ramesh Agarwal who performed the surgery said Govinda’s condition is stable now & he will be discharged after 3 to 4 days but need about a month’s rest.
His manager said Govinda had flight to catch for Kolkata at 6 am and was getting ready for the airport when the incident happened according to the report. Govinda’s wife Sunita already was in Kolkata & others family members and staff was absent when the accident occurred. He had a show in Kolkata, West Bengal.
Govinda released an audio message for fans from the hospital after the surgery, he said in the voice clip “The blessing of his fans, parents and guruji saved him. I was hit by a bullet but it has been extracted. I thank the doctors here and your prayers”. Many actor, politician, friends, fans & family members visited Govinda in hospital. All are praying for his fast recovery.
